Our Mission Statement
Cards over Clicks is a 501(c)(3) educational organization that encourages children to take social media timeouts while developing learning skills through card collecting. We strive to build literacy and social skills through card trading, offering children a fun way to learn and connect.
Our Purpose Statement
Cards Over Clicks is a 501C3 educational non-profit that seeks to help kids take a break from social media and a way to enhance reading skills. Collecting cards provides youth an outlet for developing friendships by trading cards and developing comprehension skills.
It is an opportunity for the community to invest in the lives of children for both learning purposes and developing social skills necessary for a well rounded childhood.

Meet the Founder
Welcome to “Cards Over Clicks”! My name is Dennis Loewer and I am the founder of this 501c3 educational non-profit.
I’m a proud US Navy Submarine veteran thats been collecting cards since I was six years old. Riding my bicycle down to the Mom & Pop Store on the corner of our neighborhood to buy packs of baseball, football, and Star Wars cards in the 1970s.
When I was young, there was no greater joy than memorizing statistics of my favorite baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds (especially the Big Red Machine) and enjoying the stick of gum that was included with it.
Additionally, card collecting definitely helped me as a child learn new words, numbers, and expand my vocabulary. Trading baseball cards with my friends in the neighborhood taught me life lessons that I believe have been lost with today’s generation.

What We Do!
“Cards Over Clicks” was created to encourage children to take a break from social media and develop learning skills through card collecting. Cards may vary from sports such as baseball, football, basketball, and soccer to Pokémon or even Star Wars! The types of cards we utilize are all donated from card collectors, dealers, businesses, and private donors who are perhaps outgrowing their hobby.
Collecting cards provides students a fun outlet for developing social skills by trading cards and creating friendships. It is an opportunity for our community to invest in the lives of children for both learning purposes and developing necessary social skills for a well rounded childhood.
Each pack of customized collectible cards will contain an educational worksheet meeting the Georgia PreK-12 Standards. Our focus as an educational non-profit is for students under the age of 18 years old. Therefore, customized card packets are distributed based on the following grade levels:
Preschool to 2nd Grade
3rd Grade to 5th Grade
6th Grade to 8th Grade
High School
Our communities must actively engage with young people using innovative ways to promote the necessary learning and social skills that will benefit their future.
