Harrison Ford
Did you know that Harrison Ford who portrayed “Han Solo” in Star Wars didn’t just fly the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs? Harrison Ford is an actual pilot and has performed real-life rescues.
In 2000, he rescued a sick hiker in Wyoming and also saved a 13-year-old boy who had gotten lost in a forest near Yellowstone National Park.
Michael Jordan
Did you know that Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team? It’s true! In fact, he used it as motivation to ultimately become an NBA legend!
Jim Abbott
Jim Abbott played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the California Angels, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers from 1989 to 1999. He was successful at the major league level despite being born without a right hand.
As a member of the New York Yankees, he threw a no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians in 1993. When preparing to pitch the ball, Abbott would rest his glove on the end of his right forearm.
After releasing the ball, he would quickly slip his hand into the glove, usually in time to field any balls that a two-handed pitcher would be able to field.
Then he would secure the glove between his right forearm and torso, slip his hand out of it, and remove the ball from it, usually in time to throw out the runner at first or sometimes even start a double play. – Full Credit to Wikipedia
